Dave speaks about his extensive 24 years in service, where he served in Ranger Battalions, and had multiple deployments. Dave also touches on his transition from service, his own struggles, and how he overcame them to become the great role model he is today.

Episode 7 features Sebastian Junger. Sebastian is a journalist, author, and filmmaker, best known in the Veteran community for his documentaries Restrepo, and The Korengal. We dive into his past experiences, his time spent with the 173rd Airborne in the Korengal Valley, why military members serve, why so many struggle when returning home, the Afghanistan drawdown, and much more.

Episode 8 features Gold Star Family members, Roice and Jim McCollum. Rylee McCollum was a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps, and paid the Ultimate Sacrifice while serving in Afghanistan during the draw down operations at Kabul Airfield. We had the honor to spend an hour with the McCollum’s, and touched on everything from the incident at Abbey Gate during the drawdown and the 13 Service Members who lost their lives during those operations, who Rylee was as a person and what led him into serving his country, the Dover Airfield ceremony, the release of Jim’s book, the “13” reunion, and so much more. This show was incredible.
